While the beach adjoining Grand Hyatt Goa may not be the best, the pool area surely makes up for it. With four outdoor swimming pools, a whirlpool jacuzzi, a spacious spa with a cold dip pool, steam rooms, kids water activities, ample loungers, hammocks and more - the Grand Hyatt may have the best poolside experience in Goa.
Surrounded by a lush green verandah, a stone throw away from the beach - if you’re looking to laze by the pool and watch sunsets on your luxurious Goa holiday, the Grand Hyatt Goa is for you.
Be warned however that the poolside at Grand Hyatt Goa closes at 7 pm, and poolside food and drinks service may take upwards of 30 min.
While Bambolim beach adjoining Grand Hyatt Goa is clean, secluded, nearly private and less than a two minute walk away from the resort - it is not a soft sandy beach.
The sand at Bambolim Beach has more black gravel and broken sea shells, with blackish water not appealing for swimming or playing in the waves. The beach is also fairly rocky, with no sun beds, but there are ample water sport activities available at the beach including surfing and sailing.
During the monsoons however the beach may be barely visible or even accessible.
If you’re looking to take the kids on a Goa holiday, the Grand Hyatt Goa offers multiple activities throughout the day to keep your kids busy and entertained.
Including cycling, swimming, sailing, a trampoline, kids activity zone with a bouncy castle, table tennis, zip line, wall climbing, sky cycle and lots more.
There are also paid water activities available for kids at the pool, and a sailing school for beginners at the beach. The Grand Hyatt Goa is well reviewed for being kids, baby and stroller friendly.

The Grand Hyatt Goa is located in a somewhat isolated spot, with no other shops or restaurants available nearby. The road outside the hotel is also not the best for walking.
So while the hotel is located in North Goa which offers multiple dining and entertainment options, you’ll be dependent on a taxi service to get around, which can get quite expensive quite fast. So if you’re checking into Grand Hyatt Goa, it may be best to mostly stay and enjoy the resort. You may also be able to find cheaper taxis to get around right outside the resort vs. booking at the reception.
Casino Strike at the Grand Hyatt Goa has been described by high rollers as amongst the best Casino in Goa. Located within Grand Hyatt Goa, it may not be the biggest Casino in Goa, but you’re less likely to run into unsavory elements, keeping your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Also the Shamana Spa at Grand Hyatt Goa is reviewed to be amongst the best in Goa with excellent therapists. However you may want to book your Spa session online as the rates at the hotel are known to be higher than on the website.
There is a fair bit of distance between the reception and the rooms. Also the restaurants are located near the reception so it requires a fair bit of walking to get around this resort. Not the most suitable for the elderly or anyone with a walking problem, but there are buggies available if you’re willing to wait and the resort is wheelchair friendly.
As the rooms are a fair distance away from the main building and restaurants, this means that room service and housekeeping can take a while.
Also the quality of food delivered via room service is not reviewed to be as good as the food at the restaurants.
So it’s suggested not to order in but visit the restaurants if you’re checking into Grand Hyatt Goa.
Also to keep ample time to move your bags to the lobby when checking out - you may be left with a taxi standing and no bags.
